An Altar to A Hero

I'd like to build a shrine and worship area to one of the Greek Heroes. How would I go about doing that?

Pretty much the same way one would do for a God. An image such as a picture or statue(s) of the Hero(es), candles, an incense burner or other nice receptacle for libations/food offerings, set in an area that won't be much disturbed outside of worship, such as a shelf, a cupboard, etc.
