Theseus' Unification
If I am correct, Athens existed in a smaller version before Theseus, according to legend, and Theseus increased the size of Athens by adding more of the Attica territory to it. Am I right on that?

I can find no sources speaking of Athens' size before the political unification of Attica under Athens by Theseus. However, going by common sense, Athens would have naturally increased in geographical size and population in the generations following, if only because the political unification of Attica with Athens as the capital would have granted more land and resources to the Athenians with which to grow. Athens, then, was likely relatively much smaller before Theseus. But this is not a verifiable conclusion, only an attempt at a reasonable conclusion.
