I am not sure if this would be under this section but I am attempting to make a seven-string lyre. I already have a tortoise shell for the box. I am wondering if anybody might have some resources to learning how to play it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't know where to begin, so I am sorry on that front.

HOWEVER, I would LOVE to see your step by step process in pictures if you can!

Okay. It might be awhile though because I have to gather all the materials needed. and I figured out that my shell won't be big enough so I have to find wood for it.

Well, Good Luck! If you ARE set on a turtle shell, go trappin for a snapper. Those things can get huge. You will have to polish up the shell pretty good, though.

I decided to just use some wood of approximately the dimensions I'm using.

I don't really know about this topic, but a search for "How to play an ancient Greek lyre" turned up this video lesson.
Good luck on your project, and I second the request for details.
