Can a Hellenist use runes?

2. Various classical Graeco-Roman methods of divination do exist, should one choose to engage with them. Alphabetic oracles of slightly different sorts were indeed very common, but use of Norse runes? No.

If using divination tools of another language is wrong, then we can't speak English when talking about or worshiping the Gods. I think there's also evidence that the rune system was inspired by the Greek alphabet. I know that they weren't used in ancient Greece. My question was, can a Hellenist today use them?

When engaging with Hellenic deities, is it not better to approach them within the cultural context they revealed themselves in?
