Colors of Hermes

I am considering painting my new statue of Hermes, and I was wondering if anyone might know the appropriate colors for His robes or clothing.

Gold (common to all Gods). White (common to all Ouranic deities). Saffron (one of his sacred plants was the crocus; I believe saffron crocus is best shot, it makes an orangey-dye; also calls to mind his Chthonian aspect, as saffron is a color associated with Hecate, Persephone, Melinoe, underworld deities in general).
