Ares of the Golden Helm Empty Ares of the Golden Helm

I've been studying this epithet of Ares, but am having a hard time finding out its significance. What would it mean for the God of War to have a golden helmet? What significance or meaning would that have beyond obvious Divinity?

The helmet because he is associated with war. Gold is a color used to connote divinity in general, such as Apollo's epithet "of the golden sword," or Artemis' "of the golden bow."
