Deified Poets and Writers

How does one pray to the deified poets and writers of Greece, and for what reasons would one pray to them?

Pretty much in the same way one would pray to any other sage, nymph, agathodaemon, or God. Prayer is, in a loose sense, just talking to someone who isn't necessarily physically present with you. You could pray to them for whatever reason you wished, because prayer is an act of free will. Reasons for praying, however, might include advice or inspiration for one's own written works.
