I'm not sure what post count the default setting is to allow new users to send messages.

As I recall, I think it may be either 18 or 20 posts.

It's a feature meant to necessitate public interaction on the forums for a while for newbies before allowing private interaction.

The PM posting limit is set at 25 posts. My apologies for the delayed response.

My apologies as well. I just noticed this post a little while ago.

I do not recall having seen the nice red icon next to this forum like I usually would for a new post — so I didn't see it.

Ok, thanks. I thought this might be the intention. So in other words you need to become a Junior Member to be able to post pm's.

And I was not in a hurry annieways, so don't worry about any delay.
